The Garden

The Garden

There are many things that make me happy. One of those things is taking pictures. I love taking picture and capturing moments. It is one of the many things that brings me great joy. Here are a few that I have taken from my families garden this year. They were taken in September. Through my Dad, my siblings and I have learned the true meaning of work and the blessings that come with it.

These picture also act as a reminder of what hard work it took to make those plants grow. There was the preparation. We had to till the ground and make the rows. Then we had to plant the seeds. Our garden is 100 ft X 150 ft or something like that. At least 100 ft both ways. That is a lot of seeds. Then there was the constant watering and weeding. Both are not a fun task when done by yourself. Here in the Western States we are in the middle of a drought...in other words, its HOT. It is then that we learned that those tasks are better done with more people. It is more bearable and gets done faster. Then after our hard work and labor, there is the harvesting to be done. We have to pick the food and then prepare it to be stored to use in the winter. I didn't have much to do with particular garden, but I remember from the many years that I have done it.

So please enjoy these pictures. They are some of my favorite.
